The Secrets of International Travel Discount Airfares

Andrew Bicknell asked:

These days money, or lack there of, seems to play a large role in deciding whether to make those overseas travel plans. Fortunately it doesn’t have to be this way because even those with moderate incomes can choose to fly to far off lands if they know the secrets of international travel discount airfares. By being flexible, shopping around, and knowing some tried and true bargain travel methods you too can save money on your next trip abroad.

The biggest key to getting the best international airfare bargains is shopping around. There are literally hundreds of different fares available for just about any destination and taking the time to research and compare prices can pay off big time. The ability to use travel sites on the internet makes this task easier then ever because many of these sites will do the price comparisons for you. Using internet travel sites does need to be taken with a grain of salt though, because while they do a great job of searching the flights for you this does not mean that they include every possibility.

One technique that seems to be overlooked is checking with the individual airlines themselves. They often offer cheap tickets that can only be bought through their own ticketing and reservation agents and websites. So be sure to make some phone calls just to see what is available.

You also need to check with travel agents and agencies. These are the pros at the travel business and many times they have access to low cost international airfares that aren’t available on the internet. A good travel agent can save you money and make planning your trip a hassle free experience; something that even the best online sites can’t offer.

Also check with travel agents or agencies that specialize in specific destinations or serve an ethnic population. These types of agencies work with foreign airlines to provide discount tickets to their home countries, often at a savings that can’t be beat.

Another good place to look are “Bucket Shops” which are airfare consolidators who buy tickets in bulk directly from the airlines at discounted prices. They pass these savings onto their customers who are willing to use this system which works like this; you let them know a date range you would like to travel and some destinations you are interested in. If they make a bulk purchase that fits into your travel plans you can get heavily discounted tickets, but you do need to be flexible.

The most important part of finding international travel discount airfares is researching as many different possibilities as you can. Flexibility is also important because it gives you a range in which to find those cheap tickets. Remember, shop around and keep an open mind because you never know what airfare bargains you may find.

Discount Airline Tickets are in High Supply

Will asked:

Most people in the United States prefer air travel as compared to any other forms of transportation. Many people need to travel regularly for business trips and therefore are constantly on the lookout for cheap airfares. There is a multitude of air carriers that offer discounted airfares to passengers to generate more business.

As airfares continue to dip on the domestic front, it has become crucial to avail of the best possible schemes offered by airlines. You need to research on the Internet for best deals and compare airfares offered by various carriers.

Airlines such as American, United, Continental, U.S. Airways, TWA, Delta, Canadian, and Cathay Pacific offer incredibly low airfares during off-season and you can book tickets even at the last moment.

There are various last minute travel deals that come very cheap, as airlines cant afford to lose revenue on empty seats.

In order to get the best air travel deals, you need to be slightly flexible regarding your date of travel and the duration of stay. Ideally, you must choose to fly on weekdays, as mid week tickets are relatively cheaper than weekend fares. Airfares will also depend on the season and the time you choose to fly.

Odd hour flights are pretty inexpensive. You can fly with JetBlue at relatively low costs to places such as Las Vegas, Nassau in the Bahamas, San Juan, West Palm Beach, and Puerto Rico.

These places also happen to be some of the best holiday destinations and have tourists visiting every year from around the globe.

Spirit Air offers amazing connectivity in the U.S. by flying between destinations like Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Jose, and San Francisco. Although Spirit Air mainly offers domestic flights, there are convenient and cheap flights available to Kingston, Cancun, and Jamaica.

If you are planning to stick to one particular airline, you will find great deals anyways through the frequent flyer programs offered by various airlines. One way of saving money on your air journey is to book well in advance.

This can be possible if you are planning to fly somewhere during Christmas or you want to reach some destination on a particular date for a friend’s wedding. This gives you enough time to book well in advance and avail of fantastic discounts.

You may make reservations through travel agents, as they are the ones who keep a track of all airlines. Airline sometimes tie up with reputed travel agencies to sell their seats to avoid the hassle of advertising offers in newspapers.

Your agent may also help you plan your itinerary in case you are considering traveling abroad. Break journeys will cost you less than direct flights.

Discounted domestic air tickets can also be purchased through auctions. You can bid on the Internet for lowest airfares and enjoy handsome discounts.

Also, how do I get monetary sponsors? I just need overall help in band booking and the basics of putting together this show.

Cheap Airfare and Student Discounts

Andrew Bicknell asked:

For the college student finding the money to travel can be somewhat problematic. Anyone who’s been a poor college student know what this is all about but sometimes the opportunity to travel is important enough to override even the most budget conscious of college goers. But with money tight it is important to find cheap airfare and student discounts anytime you do try to travel.

Fortunately the vast majority of airlines do offer discounts for college students. How much the discount is is dependent on the airline and the type of deals they offer. In some instances airlines have been known to discount the student rate up to 70 percent off their normal price.

There are in fact many travel companies that offer discounted airfares and trips aimed at college students. In most cases these packages are not that flexible when it comes to choosing travel dates because the trip is part of a larger package set up just for students. There can be restrictions on round-trips and how many days between departure and return flights as part of these special packages.

Another good place to look are websites that specialize in student travel and discounted airfares. They specialize in one-way destination student airline tickets because many students are looking for this type of deal as they are unsure of when they may be returning. You can find a return trip option on many sites that provide a discount on an open ended schedule. This allows the student the opportunity to choose a return date after they have reached their destination.

Many of these websites are members only for students and they sell only to students who provide a valid student-ID. By becoming a member of this type of travel service one can find even bigger savings on airline tickets. These savings may change from month to month and can be dependent on when and where you wish to travel.

If you are attending college it can pay to know where to find cheap airfare and student discounts. By doing a little research you can easily find travel bargains that meet even the tightest of student budgets.

Discount Airfares From the Usa to Germany: Affordable Travel Around the World

Roland Jefferson asked:

Air travel is more popular than ever and with popular travel comes cheaper ticket prices. Discount airfares from the USA to Germany, for example, costs less than ever before. Germany is a great country with lots of culture and history and anyone traveling there will be amazed at how much there is to experience. If you can get your hands on discount airfares from the USA to Germany, it’s recommended that you do so that you can experience it all yourself, or you can take your entire family for a European vacation and experience Germany during a trip that is sure to bring the entire clan closer. Just make sure that you take your camera because you will likely take home many memories that you will want to preserve forever.

Have You Ever Been Overseas?

For those people who have never traveled outside of the United States, a German vacation can seem scary. The first thing people usually consider is that they don’t speak German, they don’t know their way around Germany and they don’t even know how to go about making reservations for hotels, and more. These thoughts often cause a person to put off indefinitely any overseas travel. However, there is help available to alleviate all your fears so that you can have a relaxing vacation to this beautiful European country.

You have your choices when purchasing discount airfares from the USA to Germany. For instance, you can go through a travel agency, you can buy your tickets online or you can call the airlines directly. No matter which avenue you try, you are sure to find discount airfares from the USA to Germany. The problem comes when trying to book rental cars, hotels, and so on. This is where a travel agent or online travel site might work better than just calling the airlines.

Travel agents and online travel sites help you book rental cars, hotels, and even tour groups to help you get around better. The only thing these avenues can’t help you with is speaking the language. However, many Europeans speak English so your language barrier might not be such a barrier after all. You can always pick up an English to German dictionary or phrase book to help you out.

The point is not to be afraid of traveling to Germany. Wake up the adventurer in you and book your vacation with Discount airfares from the USA to Germany and worry about how to get around when you get there.

How much in advance should you book your flight to get the cheapest air fare?

capricorn asked:

I am traveling to NJ from GA for a family reunion. I need to be in NJ no later than Thursday, July 31. I was going to book my flight today (July 16) because I was told that most airlines require a two week advance booking for the best fares, also I have found that if you travel on Wedsnesdays the fares are cheaper. However, someone told me that most airlines have sales on Thursdays. However, that would only give me a 13 day advance booking. I have also been told that some airlines now only require a 7 to 10 day advance booking for the best fares. I’m getting a little confused with so much information. Also, could you supply some good web sites to find discount airfares. So far, cheapo-air seems to be the best one. Thanks.

Discount flight tickets for child visitation?

CrazyTrain asked:

Question for anyone who can help…..

My boyfriends ex wife moved out of state with their children. He went to court to fight it because she had no reason to leave besides to leave…and she won and was able to move. Laws in this state didnt help the father out. The father is now required to pay for airfare (his and children) every other month (even though she is one that wanted to move). The children are at an age where they shouldnt fly alone, so he needs to fly and pick them up, fly back, and then 3 days later fly there to drop off and come back again.
The tickets are outrageous, because he is gonna have to fly and come back in the same day. Does anyone know if there are any flight discounts or anything for people who have child visitation?
This may be a dumb question, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
It’s going to end up being 1500 or more for these flights every other month and didnt know if there was anything for this sort of thing

Thanks so much!
