I like using. It will run a search of most major airlines that fly the route you provide, and will list the cheapest.

I would highly recommend both hotwire and priceline, with cheaptickets comping in a close third. I’ve searched around for airfare quite a bit, and these three sites usually ring true as the cheapest. Other than that, I’d go to sites like igougo.com, travelzoo.com, or bookingbuddy.com. These sites offer searches of multiple online airfare websites, making it easier and less time consuming to compare prices. As for when to buy, I usually go to farecast.com. They pretty accurately predict when a good time to buy a flight would be based off of past and current trends, etc. It’s pretty useful. Another site I’ve found handy is rightflight.org. They did a bunch of research on the various airfare sites to see which sites are usually the cheapest. They also have a list of most of the airfare sites on their webpage, which can be pretty handy in and of itself. Hope this helped!

Christmas airfare is always high. But here’s what you do:
1) Go on any generic site and search what route is available. For example, expedia can be a good starting point.
2) Once you are quoted a price from expedia, try going to that airline’s main website and see if you can find it cheaper on the site itself (it often is).
3) If it isn’t cheaper on the airline site, then check out flightcenter, travelocity, or stick with expedia or any other generic airline flight, including orbitz. Check sunwing airlines too.
4) Or just post what dates and departure/arrival locations ur looking for and someone can just post the cheapest price on here for you- if they’re nice.

Your best bet is BookMe.com first. You can compare all the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck!

Unfortunately, airfare prices at Christmas are always on the higher side. I would suggest comparing prices, although all of these websites use the same vendors - prices will vary from site to site. If someone tells you one site always has the lowest prices, I would run the other way. It’s just not true. I would suggest trying this website:
