Say Yes to the dress is a show on TLC that documents a bride’s search for he r wedding dress at Kleinfeld’s in Manhattan. I got a call for casting and then was told that I would have to pay for my own airfare, hotel, food, and then I wouldn’t even get a discount on the dress! I just think this is ridiculous. Why would I pay to put myself on TV? I just want to know if anyone else did this.
Actually, their dresses start at about $1500, but most are $2500 and up. The casting advertised for brides from ALL walks of life and did not specify that they had to be from the Tri-State area. They were looking for brides nationwide. I was thinking about doing it since we have friends in NYC anyways, but we just found out my fiance was laid off from his job. I am a business owner and I don’t think I need to pay for bridal fame. I am not going to pay all that money for a 3 hour bridal fitting and consultation. I’m sure there are plenty of great places to find a dress in Orlando. Besides, I’m a military veteran and last year for veteran’s day, David’s Bridal in my home town gave out free dresses to veterans. I’m not about to spend $25,000 on a dress to wear for one day…I’d have to wear that dress for the first 3 weeks of marriage and then wear it again every year for my anniversary! lol

The travel membership is a one time fee. The company offers travel packages throughout the year. For example, a trip to Playa Del Carmen for 5 days and 4 nights for 599 per person. This includes room, food, and airfare from DFW.

I would like to go to Germany from Pittsburgh sometime next late June. I absolutely need the lowest prices (INCLUDING fees and taxes) if someone can give me any advice whatsoever, or any websites that are very cheap, that would be excellent. I’m trying to keep the cost anywhere under $900 to $1100 total. If it helps, my dad is on the Naval reserve (just in case of military discount)

I want to fly to Recife, Brazil from Hawaii. A contact of mine who works for American Airlines says he can get me a friends and family ticket, sometimes called a buddy ticket, to fly on American for a big discount. He says the round trip ticket will cost me about $600. Someone else told me they thought that was too much as those type of tickets are usually 10 percent of the normal fare. So, does American Airlines have these types of tickets, and if so, what is the percentage of the normal fare that they are? Someone else said those tickets only cost what the taxes are. That being the case, what would my ticket to Brazil from Hawaii cost on that basis? Thanks.

I will be going to Guatemala soon to pick up my baby girl. Finances for the adoption have pretty much depleted our savings. I am looking for websites or resources to help me find help getting discounts or grants to help with airfare and hotels for myself, my husband and baby.
